Life lessons from candy crush saga

Can you really learn a valuable life lesson by playing games? Yes. That’s what I believe. You just don’t realize it yet.

Today, I’ll share with you the life lessons I realize while playing Candy Crush saga.

Let’s begin with;

Importance of time

In playing Candy Crush saga, the more time spent playing, the more chance you have to get to the next level. More time equals more chances.

In real life, Your time is spent on what you focus on. What you focus on grows.

Where focus goes, energy flows.

Tony Robbins

How did you spend your time? Is it for doing things that you love or is it for doing things that give you money? In life, most of us fall in either of these two categories and only selected few are being paid by doing what they love.

We all have 24 hours a day, but why other people are happier than you, wealthier than you? Think of this for a minute: we all have a limited time, right? Why are you not using it to be happy and wealthy?

We humans will always want to have more that’s a given. Why not make use of your time to get whatever you want? Be content in whatever you have right now while striving to have more. Plan it and take action.

Importance of keep trying

Why keep trying to beat the current level. You want to beat the game, of course, to prove that you can beat each level. Being engrossed in beating each level and move on to the next level.

In life, we have different circumstances that stopping us from achieving the things we want. Most of us, have been stuck and stop trying. Sometimes, you just need a little rest before trying again. That’s what I did before continuing this blog again. Keep trying, only you can make things work for you. Your action will have a significant result when you do it long enough.

Level difficulty

Each level has different difficulties. Some are easy, some are hard.

We face different problem each time with different difficulties, some are hard and some are easy. Your circumstances will either make you or break you. Each problem you have is a challenge, a game you can beat.

However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.

Stephen Hawking

You can improve your life situation. You can do something about it, no matter how difficult your life has been. Look for answers.

The importance of boosters (power-ups)

In Candy Crush saga there are a lot of helping hand you can have. At first, you only have yourself, power-ups are given to you after reaching a certain level. Those power-ups are your helping hand.

They can help you with the problem you’re currently facing. In can be an individual, a service, a seminar, a book, an audiobook or anything that can solve or light a burning desire to solve your life problem.

There will always be an answer, a way to solve our problems. We just need to look for it. If we are lucky our problem can be solved fast, if not it will take a long time.

Being online and offline

You can play the game online and offline. What is the difference? When you are offline you can only use what you have. On the other hand, when you’re online you can have more helping hand just by watching ads.

In life, there is also a certain level when a person or service can help you succeed in solving your problem. Being offline means you knew little or you only have limited access to other people or services that can help you. Being online means you have more contacts that can help you with your problem.

Life is about building a relationship, the more relationship you build the more people you can help and the other way around they can help you.

Final note

In games, taking risks is normal. In life, taking risks is also normal. Being comfortable in taking a risk is a skill you can develop, calculating the risks and return you will take, will make you more adept in discerning what will work and will not work for you.

Through trial and error, you can test the water. Don’t be afraid of failures keep trying until you win. The more time you spent in mastering your craft, the more you can improve.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

African Proverb

With the help of the people around you, every problem can be solved.
